Calciorthid is the taxonomic classification of soils possessing the following properties:

Are sandy loam to silt in mixture In the U.S. Soil Taxonomy, they fall under the Aridisols (dry soils) and are distinguished by a calcic horizon where calcium carbonate has accumulated.
